Is CCNA still worth in 2026?
Ito yung laging tanong ng karamihan.
And I will always answer in confidence…
Of course, yes!
100%!
CCNA is one of the best certifications you can have lalo na kung ikaw ay nagsisimula pa lang sa iyong career.
It will surely help you build a solid foundation in networks + will introduce you to Cisco technologies that will further benefit you in your career.
I’ve personally worked with and met successful I.T who started with CCNA.
I’ve also have hundreds of success stories inside our community where their career took off after getting and becoming CCNA.
And of course, if you read and watch my story, my career also took off after knowing and becoming CCNA.
That’s why I firmly believe, CCNA is 100% worth it.

That means, CCNA is well-known worldwide.

Kung walang network, walang internet.
Kung walang network, walang work-from-home.
Kung walang network, the ‘cloud’ wouldn’t exists.
Even AI wouldn’t work without network.
Kung walang network, all apps, all IoT, all modern and new ways of connection and communication will not be possible.
That’s why ‘networking’ is the backbone and integral part of communication today.
And with that, if you have the ‘networking skills’ needed by an enterprise or company today, there’s always an opportunity.
You become valuable.
Even if your goal is to get into cybersecurity, your networking skills and understanding will play a ‘huge’ role.
Haha. ![]()
Anyways, does this mean you have to master networking even if you’re going to venture into different fields of sector of I.T?
Hindi naman.
𝘒𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘴 para nang sa ganun meron kang foundation.
When you did that, it will be easier for you to understand all the other ‘connecting pieces’ in the ‘field’ na pipiliin mo.
For example, sa cloud, kailangan or mag-sesetup ka rin ng subnet, gagamit ka rin ng public and private IP address, you’ll also encounter vlans and so on.
Those are fundamental topics of networking.
Lahat yun importante.
In cybersecurity ganun din.
Yung mga subnet, ip addresses, vlans, dhcp, ports and other network protocols are discussed and learned in CCNA.
Those are basics and fundamentals.
Those are integral parts.
And CCNA covers those fundamentals.
To give you some idea, here are the six major chapters covered in CCNA:
- Network Fundamentals (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘤𝘱/𝘪𝘱, 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘵𝘤.)
- Network Access (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥)
- IP Connectivity (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘭 𝘦𝘵𝘤. 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥)
- IP Services (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥)
- Security Fundamentals (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥)
- Automation and Programability (𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥)
You see ,
These are all basics and fundamentals.
These build the foundation.
If you learn and understand all of these, malaki na ang advantage mo sa I.T career mo.

That’s why CCNA is still and always be worth it.
Kaya naman if you’re just starting, CCNA will give huge value to your I.T career.
Study it. Learn it. Practice hands on at sure ako, it will help you build a solid foundation hindi lang sa network kundi pati na rin sa ibang areas in I.T.
Good luck on your journey!
